Telephony Device Features

On this page you can enable the desired convenience and performance features for your DECT cordless telephone. Then save your settings by clicking "OK".

  • Listen in on answering machine
    Enable this option if you would like to have messages broadcast over the telephone speaker as they are recorded on the integrated answering machine of the FRITZ!Box.
  • This option is displayed only for AVM DECT cordless telephones (like the FRITZ!Fon MT-D).

  • Vanity telephone book search
    If you enable this option you have to press the numeric key only once for any letter. For instance, if you press the "5" key, all telephone book entries will be displayed that begin with "J", "K" or "L". The search results can be refined as needed by next pressing the numeric key for the second letter of the telephone book entry sought, and then for the third letter, and so on.
  • This option is displayed only for AVM DECT cordless telephones (like the FRITZ!Fon MT-D and FRITZ!Fon MT-F).

  • Calling line identification restriction (CLIR)
    "CLIR" stands for Calling line identification restriction. When CLIR is enabled, the telephony device will not transmit any number to the remote site during outgoing calls. Your telephone number is suppressed.
  • Call Waiting
    When "Call Waiting" is enabled, you will be informed about additional incoming calls during a telephone conversation. An audio signal will interrupt your call to indicate that another call is waiting. You can then either accept the second call or ignore it.
  • Call rejection on busy (busy on busy)
    If you receive a call for the assigned number while conducting a conversation with this DECT cordless telephone, the caller does not automatically hear a busy signal. If this caller should hear the busy signal, you have the following options:
  • Enable the function "Call rejection on busy (busy on busy)" and switch off the option "Call rejection on busy (busy on busy) determined by the terminal device. Then a caller will hear the busy signal whenever you are making a call with any connected DECT or ISDN telephone on a telephone line assigned to this DECT cordless telephone.

    or

    Enable the function "Call rejection on busy (busy on busy)" and switch on the option "Call rejection on busy (busy on busy) determined by the terminal device. Then callers will hear the busy signal whenever this DECT cordless telephone or another connected DECT or ISDN telephone signals that it is "busy".

  • HD telephony
    The "HD telephony" (High Definition) function provides extremely natural, full sound quality for connections between two telephones that support HD telephony. If you would like to use HD telephony, select the "Automatically" option from the drop-down menu. If you do not want to use HD telephony, select the "HD disabled" option.
  • This option is displayed only if the DECT cordless telephone supports HD.

  • Equalizer Settings
    Use the equalizer to influence the timbre on your DECT cordless telephone. This feature allows you to amplify or dampen the bass, mid-range, and treble settings during an active telephone connection.
