New Dialing Rule

Dialing rules can be created for numbers and for number ranges. Perform the following steps to create a new dialing rule:

  1. Select a preconfigured range of numbers in the "Number range" field or enter a number or number range for which the dialing rule is to be defined in the "Number" field.
  2. Take note of the "Tips for Allocating Number Ranges" on this page.

  3. Select a dialing rule from the "Connect via" field.
  4. Click the "OK" button to implement your changes to the settings.

Tips for Allocating Number Ranges

The following ranges are preconfigured in the "Number range" field:

  • mobile telephone network
  • Connections to numbers of the "017", "016" and "015" ranges will be established using the desired type of connection.

  • Local area network
  • Connections to numbers that begin with "2", "3", "4", "5", "6", "7", "8" and "9" will be established using the desired type of connection.

  • Long-distance calls
  • Connections to numbers of the "0" range will be established using the desired type of connection.

  • International
  • Connections to numbers of the "00" range will be established using the desired type of connection.

  • Premium numbers
  • Connections to numbers of the "0900", "0190" and "0180" ranges will be established using the desired type of connection.

  • Directory assistance
  • Connections to numbers of the "118" range will be established using the desired type of connection.

Please take note of the following tips for allocating numbers or number ranges in the "Number" field.

  • A number range may consist of one telephone number, a prefix, or of the first digits of a prefix.
  • For instance, enter "030" if all calls to Berlin are to be conducted using the Internet.
