Using night service you can put the FRITZ!Box on standby automatically. During standby, the WLAN radio network of the FRITZ!Box is disconnected, and/or the connected telephones will not ring, for a period of time you specify. This has the following advantages:
Enter in the "from" and "until" fields from when to when the night service is to be switched on.
Select this setting if the radio network should be switched off during night service.
Turning off the radio network reduces FRITZ!Box's energy consumption.
Enable this option if the radio network should be switched off after the specified beginning of night service to keep from interrupting active connections between the WLAN devices and FRITZ!Box.
Remove the checkmark before this option if you would like the WLAN radio network to be switched off during night service no matter what connections are active. If WLAN connections are active at the beginning of night service, for instance, because your children are still surfing the web, or because a WDS has been configured, the FRITZ!Box will end these WLAN connections automatically.
Alternatively, use the WLAN button on the FRITZ!Box to switch the WLAN on and off during night service.
Select this option to enable the Do Not Disturb setting during night service. The Do Not Disturb component of the night service features has the following effect on the telephony devices connected to the FRITZ!Box:
Separate Do Not Disturb settings can be configured for individual telephony devices. In this way different night service times can be defined for certain telephony devices, or certain devices can remain active (like answering machines).
The individual Do Not Disturb settings are configured in the "Advanced Settings / Telephony / Telephony Devices" menu:
As a final step, click "Apply" to save the changed settings in the FRITZ!Box.
