Set Rate

If your DSL rate is based on data volume or on connection time, on this page you can enter the amount of data volume or free connection time included in your rate. This allows you to keep track of your online charges.

To define a rate, proceed as follows:

  1. Check the option "Use rate information".
  2. Specify whether your DSL rate is based on data volume or on connection time.
  3. Enter the amount of time or data volume included in the rate.
  4. If your DSL rate is based on data volume, the data volume per connection can be rounded up to full MB or KB in the FRITZ!Box display. To do this, enable the option "Round up data volume per connection to full MB/KB". This setting is recommended when your Internet Service Provider rounds up the number of data transmitted for each successfully established connection. This allows you to keep close track of your online charges.
Contact your Internet Service Provider to find out whether data transmission amounts are rounded up for billing.
  5. Specify the day of the month on which your billing period begins.

If you would like to prevent exceeding the values given here, activate the option "Clear the Internet connection when specified data volume or connection time limit is reached".
Then FRITZ!Box will clear the connection as soon as the specified values are reached. Any telephone calls or downloads taking place at this time will be interrupted.

Apply the settings by clicking the "OK" button.
