Do Not Disturb

With the Do Not Disturb setting you can define periods of time when the terminal devices do not react to incoming calls. During this periods telephones do not ring and answering machines and faxes are disabled. All calls that arrive at the extension while Do Not Disturb is enabled will be recorded in the Call List. The Call List can be accessed by clicking the "Calls" menu command.

Do Not Disturb can be configured using the night service settings or individually. To configure Do Not Disturb, note the following:

Use night service settings

With this option the night service period is used for the Do Not Disturb definition. This option can be used only if night service is enabled and configured.
Night service can be enabled using the menu command "Advanced Settings / System / Night Service".

Individual setting

With the individual setting for Do Not Disturb you can define the days and times when Do Not Disturb should be enabled. Perform the following steps:

First you must answer the following question: Should a telephone always ring and only not ring in exceptional cases, or should a telephone not ring and signal calls only in exceptional cases?

  • always ring
    The "always ring" option defines that a telephone rings for every incoming call.
    Enter in the "except" area the times when the telephone should not ring. Do this by entering the period during which the telephone should not ring in the "from" and "until" fields, and then select the days of the week when Do Not Disturb should be enabled.
  • always off
    The "always off" option defines that a telephone does not ring.
    Enter in the "except" area the times when the telephone should ring to signal incoming calls. Do this by entering the period during which the telephone should ring in the "from" and "until" fields, and then select the days of the week when this setting should be enabled.

Then click the "OK" button to implement your Do Not Disturb settings.
