Telephony Device Features

Enable convenience・and・performance features for your telephony device on this page. Then save your settings by clicking "OK".

  • Calling line identification restriction (CLIR)
"CLIR" stands for Calling line identification restriction. When CLIR is enabled, the telephony device will not transmit any number to the remote site during outgoing calls. Your telephone number is suppressed.
  • Calling line identification presentation (CLIP)
Displays the number of the caller. When CLIP is enabled and the caller has not suppressed his caller ID, the number of the caller will be displayed for each call arriving at the telephony device. Two different settings are available for the CLIP feature:
  • Simple mode: Your telephone device displays the number of the caller.

Expanded mode: Your telephone device displays the number of the caller. The display will also show which number was dialed by the incoming caller.
Example: *2# indicates that the call arrived on the second number assigned to the telephony device.

Note: For this function your telephony device must support CLIP and CLIP must be enabled on the telephony device.

  • Call Waiting
When "Call Waiting" is enabled, you will be informed about additional incoming calls during a telephone conversation. An audio signal will interrupt your call to indicate that another call is waiting. You can then either accept the second call or ignore it.
  • Call rejection on busy (busy on busy)
If you receive a call for this DECT cordless telephone while you are already conducting a call with it, the caller does not automatically hear a busy signal. If the caller should hear the busy signal immediately, enable the function "Call rejection on busy (busy on busy)" and switch off the "Call Waiting" function. Then a caller hears the busy signal whenever you are using the telephone handset.
  • Connected line identification restriction (COLR)
By default, a caller's display always shows the number of the extension she or he dialed. However, if the caller has enabled the ISDN feature "COLP" and you take the call at another telephone, the caller sees the number of that telephone. If the caller should always see the number he dialed, enable the COLR feature. Then the number of the telephone at which you actually accept the call remains concealed from the caller.
  • MWI (Message Waiting Indication)
When you enable the "MWI" feature (Message Waiting Indication), FRITZ!Box informs you by telephone when new messages are waiting at the mailbox of your telephony provider.
You can select whether the FRITZ!Box should send a signal for the first new message only, or for every new message. You will be notified by an entry in the "Call List" of the telephone. MWI messages are displayed as follows: #694*[voice messages]*[faxes]*[e-mails]*
    Example: #694*2*0*5*
You can also specify for which messages you would like to be notified.
