Dialing rules can be created for numbers and for number ranges. Perform the following steps to create a new dialing rule:
Take note of the "Tips for Allocating Number Ranges" on this page.
With this selection you define whether a number or number range should be dialed over the Internet or using the fixed line.
If you have configured more than one Internet telephone number, then you can use a certain number for dialing or select the "Internet automatically" option to specify that the connection should be established using the first Internet telephone number configured.
If you set up carrier prefixes on the "Carrier Prefixes" settings page, you can use dialing rules to determine which carrier is most economical for each of your fixed-line calls.
Tips for Allocating Number Ranges
The following ranges are preconfigured in the "Number range" field:
Connections to numbers of the "017", "016" and "015" ranges will be established using the desired type of connection.
Connections to numbers that begin with "2", "3", "4", "5", "6", "7", "8" and "9" will be established using the desired type of connection.
Connections to numbers of the "0" range will be established using the desired type of connection.
Connections to numbers of the "00" range will be established using the desired type of connection.
Connections to numbers of the "0900", "0190" and "0180" ranges will be established using the desired type of connection.
Connections to numbers of the "118" range will be established using the desired type of connection.
