Telephone Book Entry

How to configure a new telephone book entry:

  1. Enter the name of the person in the "Name" field.
  2. Enter the numbers of the person in the "Numbers" area.
  3. You can enter either fixed-line or Internet numbers in the "Private" and "Business" fields.

  4. A quick-dial code is entered automatically in the "Quick-dial number" field. You can accept this quick-dial number or enter any other quick-dial number that has not yet been used in the telephone book. Quick-dial numbers can have values from 00 to 99.
  5. In the "Vanity code" field you can enter a string of letters in addition to the the quick-dial number, also known as a vanity code. This string of letters can contain two to eight letters (a name, for example) and be dialed as an alternative to the corresponding quick-dial number. If the vanity code is already in use for another configured quick-dial number, you will be prompted to change the vanity code.
  6. Enable the "Important Person" option if your telephone is to signal calls from this person even when your telephone is set to "Do Not Disturb".
  7. Save the telephone book entry by clicking "OK".
