The "Overview" page presents information about the current status of the FRITZ!Box.
The following information is included:
Here you find the complete product name of your FRITZ!Box and the firmware version installed. A message will indicate whether a new version of the firmware for your FRITZ!Box is available on the AVM Update Server. Click the underlined message to start installation.
The firmware for the FRITZ!Box undergoes constant development and is made available to our customers in the Internet free of charge.
If you did not enable password protection for your FRITZ!Box, you will be prompted to do so here. Using password protection can prevent unauthorized users from accessing your FRITZ!Box and changing its settings.
The "Interface Information" area shows whether devices are connected to the FRITZ!Box, be it via the connection sockets or wirelessly via WLAN.
| DSL | shows the condition of the DSL connection |
| WLAN | indicates whether a computer is connected with the FRITZ!Box via WLAN and whether the connection is secure |
| LAN | indicates whether and at which LAN port a computer is connected |
| USB Devices | indicates whether USB equipment is connected to the port for USB devices |
The "Connection Information" area displays information on Internet connections and Internet telephony connections.
| Internet | indicates whether the FRITZ!Box is connected to the Internet and how long this connection has been active |
| Internet Telephony | displays the configured Internet telephone numbers and whether or not the "Internet telephony" service is available |
The "Convenience Functions Enabled" area is displayed on this page only if you have enabled the convenience functions in the "Settings" area.
The display can be refreshed at any time by clicking the "Refresh" button.
